Alongside district leadership, our assessment creation program results in a defined and robust assessment program with assessment forms designed to district specifications.
Program Expected Outcomes
- Define the program of assessment for a district or content domain
- Develop a research-based assessment framework
- Create blueprints for assessment using standards and pacing
- Build short-cycle, interim, or summative assessments for effective assessment
The Assessment Creation program includes the following components:
- Onsite Professional Learning Sessions
The Assessment Program blends onsite professional development, guided workshop, and consulting together to yield a comprehensive assessment program complete with resources and support.
- Virtual Assessment Creation and Professional Learning
Virtual connections for progress monitoring, Q&A, and program updates will be an integral part of the program. During assessment creation, your PowerSchool partners will check-in for Q&A sessions and review & revision sessions, as well as for professional learning to support your goals.
Program Sessions
- Session 1: Assessment Program Development (2 Days)
Review district goals and strategic plans to guide the development of a research-based program of assessment.
- Session 2: Targeting Standards & Blueprinting (3-5 Days)
Identify targeted standards for measuring student performance and build blueprints for assessment model.
- Session 3: Assessment Review (3-5 Days)
Review and create an administration plan for the assessments.
- Session 4: Making Data Actionable (4 Days)
Create a playbook for expectations and recommendations for responding to assessment data.
- Session 5: Program Evaluation and Revision (3-5 Days)
Assess the program against outcomes and plan next steps.
