How it works

One-to-Many Training sessions are published on the PowerSchool Training Calendar and are available for self-registration. Participants select a course that aligns to their role or learning goals and register in advance through PowerSource. Each session follows a defined agenda and is delivered live by a PowerSchool instructor, with opportunities for interaction, guided practice, and questions. Training materials and access details are shared prior to the session to support participant readiness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Certification costs are listed on a per seat basis and vary based on the number of sessions required for the certification and whether it is offered remotely (online) versus in-person. Contact training@powerschool.com for additional information.

No one certification serves as a prerequisite for another. Sign up for and complete a certification training to qualify to take the certification exam.

Once you have completed your certification training, the PowerSchool Customer Education team will assign the exam to you in the Customer Education Campus. When certifications are completed at PSU, exams will be assigned to all candidates after the end of the event.

The PowerSchool Customer Education team highly recommends that customers complete a certification training before attempting a certification exam. However, customers are not required to complete training in order to attempt a certification.

Certification exams vary in question length and may include a mix of multiple-choice, multiple response, and true or false questions. The exams are open-book and untimed for scheduling flexibility. A customer may start and stop the exam as needed. Once a customer is granted access to an exam, the customer must complete the exam within 90 days.

All PowerSchool SIS solution and role-based certification exams are offered online within the Customer Education Campus, available at https://training.powerschool.com.

You will get your exam results immediately after completing your PowerSchool SIS solution or role-based certification exam.

If you fail the exam on your first attempt, you have the option to re-purchase the certification training (which will grant you another opportunity to take the exam) or pay the examination re-take fee ($500).

Once we assign you access to your exam, you will have 90 days to complete your exam. If you fail to complete your exam within 90 days, you have the option to re-attend training, or pay the examination re-take fee of $500.
