Track 1: PowerScheduler (Intermediate Users)

In this course path for intermediate users, learn how to build a master schedule in PowerScheduler and how to load the schedule. Explore the necessary steps for a productive build experience and the setup required prior to running a load with PowerScheduler.

Track 2: PowerSchool SIS Enhanced UI (Novice Users)

In this course path for novice users, begin by exploring PowerSchool SIS as an admin. Learn how to use the various tools on the Start Page as well as commonly used student pages and group actions. Then, learn how teachers and substitutes work with the teacher and substitute portals, including how to complete various tasks such as taking attendance. Explore how students and parents review students’ assignments and grades using the student and parent portals.  Learn how to use the built-in search functionality, create search commands, and use search actions to find students, staff, and contacts. Explore the import and export functions in PowerSchool SIS and how to work with your data using Data Manager and Direct Database Export. Finally, explore a variety of enrollment scenarios such as enrolling new students, returning students, and students with siblings. Learn how to successfully create student records and track student enrollment progress.

In this course path for intermediate users, explore the new navigation paths, the Quick Search functionality, and how to create a list of your favorite pages. Discover the new tools available when working with students, staff, and contacts, and take home the tools you need to work with these innovations. Learn about the import and export functions in PowerSchool SIS and discover how to work with your data using Data Manager and Direct Database Export. Next, learn about user roles and security groups that control what functions, pages, and information your staff can access. Learn how to set up security to ensure the right people have access to secure data and an easy-to-implement plan in place to address staff mobility. Finally, get acquainted with a variety of codes you can use in PowerSchool SIS grade calculations, reports, tasks, and export templates.

The PSU Express Learning Experience

We want you to leave PSU Express with all of your questions answered. You’ll work directly within PowerSchool solutions and receive step-by-step, hands-on training throughout every course. This specialized training allows you to return to your district and immediately implement what you’ve learned.

PSU Social Event

Join us for a reception at the Disneyland® Hotel and the opportunity to socialize with your fellow PowerSchool users on Tuesday, June 27. Then, head to Disneyland® Park with a complimentary twilight pass.

Twilight park ticket is only good for the evening of Tuesday, June 27 at Disneyland® beginning at 4:00 p.m.; attendance at the reception is optional if you wish to go to the park directly.

  • All PSU attendees must RSVP for the social event
  • The cost of this event is included in your PSU Anaheim registration
  • Attendees may bring a single guest for the discounted rate of $150. All attendees and guests must be 21 or older to attend the social event

To sign up for or decline this event, go to My Events, then My Registrations and click RSVP under Exclusives. The cost of this event is included with your PSU tuition. There is no additional cost for your participation in the social event.

If you wish to bring a single guest, you must RSVP by June 16 by selecting Attending with Guest and providing their name. Guest tickets are available at the rate of $150, payable in advance via CVENT.

All attendees and guests must be 21 or older.

Loaner laptops will not be available at this event. Attendees must bring a laptop to participate in this hands-on training. Please bring it with you during check-in time. Learn more about hardware recommendations.

Attire – What to Wear

Attire is casual, so please wear what is comfortable to you. Keep in mind that temperatures in the meeting spaces can be unpredictable, so we recommend bringing a sweater and dressing in layers.

Certificate of Participation

A Certificate of Participation will be made available to all participants on Customer Education Campus. Instructions for accessing the certificate will be sent via email at the conclusion of the event.

PSU Anaheim sessions and meals take place at the Disneyland® Hotel. We’ve arranged a nightly discount rate of $249 + tax which includes high-speed internet access. There is also a nightly discount at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for $340 + tax which includes high-speed internet access. 

Book your room at the preferred rate by Friday, May 26 using the dedicated PSU online reservation site or call (714) 520-5005. Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis.

  • Reservations received after Friday, May 26 may not receive the discount conference rate and will be accepted based on availability
  • A credit card deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold each individual reservation
  • Want to extend your stay? The preferred rate is available three days prior and three days after the event, based on availability.
  • Check-in time is 3:00 pm, check-out time is 11:00 am

Cancellation Policy

To cancel your registration, please email psu@powerschool.com as soon as possible, but no later than 5:00 p.m. (PT) on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Any cancellation request received after this date will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. If you cannot attend and do not cancel your request, you will be responsible for the full registration fee.
